曾於八零年代在墨西哥習得鑄銀奧義的父母是 Holly Ryan 美感啟蒙時期最重要的導師，在雙親的耳濡目染之下，她醉心於現代藝術、雕塑、文學與音樂，提及心目中尊崇的對象時也總是離不開 Luis Barragán、Antoine Predock 等建築巨擘。
對於 Holly Ryan 而言創意發想是一個回歸理性的過程，本應嚴謹而簡約而非只是靈感的體現。她也曾具體闡明德國工業設計師 Dieter Rams 的經典名言 “ 少，要更好 Less but better ” 是其行事準則。也因如此每一件出自 Holly Ryan 之手的作品都有著靜謐的存在感卻不至喧賓奪主，也只有再減去過分繁冗的細節之後，才能成就加乘的品味。
