明星與模特兒的刺青總帶著深刻的魅力，無論是搞怪超模 Cara Delevingne 身上的任何刺青或是丹麥王子 Freja Beha Erichsen，每每都成時尚焦點，同系列的酷帥 Style 還有 Abbey Lee 和 Catherine McNeil..等等，然而因緣際會的在 2015 年春夏 Giles 秀上，來自澳洲的 Codie Young，不同於前輩們的刺青（尤其是宮崎駿卡通系列）倒是吸引眾人的目光。
曾被台灣 BLOG《廢柴三少爺》喻為石膏像少女的 Codie Young，目前定居於倫敦的她，Instgram 上「wild life」的描述，讓人不禁好奇這女孩兒的探險人生，除了模特兒外，也佩戴著畫家和詩人的稱謂，藉著與她淺談的獨家專訪，來了解 Codie Young 刺青的靈感來源和人生體悟為何。
Codie Young：「『沒辦法，事情就是這樣。』這句話取自我最喜歡的書之一，《第五號屠宰場（作者：克爾特馮內果（Kurtz Vonnegut）》，它頻繁地出現在書上，意味著即便事情已發生，但人生還是要過。（”So it goes” this quote comes from the book. ‘Slaughter house 5′ by Kurtz Vonnegut. So it goes is a common fraise said throughout the book. So it goes basically means that had things happen but life goes on and everything will be ok. It’s one of y favourite books.”）」
Codie Young：「”We’re all mad here.“ 原典出自經典童書《愛麗絲夢遊仙境（Alice in wonderland）》中，愛麗絲與柴郡貓的一段對話。我總感覺和這本書有特別的共同點，而且我認為我們人全都有點瘋癲。（”This is from the classic children’s book. Alice in wonderland. This is one of my favourite books. I have always had a special connection to it. And I feel all of us are a little mad.”）」
Codie Young：「這符號代表著”無常”（ps. 這張圖是 Codie 收到台灣鄰居送的水果），所有的事情都有起點、過程和終點，沒有什麼是永恆的，事物總不停在轉變。（“This symbol stands for ‘impermanence’ Everything had a beginning a middle and a end. Nothing is for ever. Things are always changing.”」
Codie Young：「當我去秘魯旅行時，我和當地的一家蓋丘亞族人（Quechuan）成了很要好的朋友，他們送我一個蓋丘亞族的名字”Munay T’ika”，意思是美麗的花朵。（“When I was in Peru I became really good friends with a native Quechuan family. They gave both my friend an myself Quechuan names. “Munay T’ika” is the name they gave me. It means ‘beautiful flower’”）」
Codie Young：「幻想（名詞），是我最喜歡的字之一，意味著歡愉地沈溺在某個想法中。（”Reverie. Is one of my favourite words. It means ‘to be pleasantly lost in ones thoughts’“）」
Codie Young：「這刺青是取自於經典名著《小王子》，圖像是一條吃了大象的蟒蛇（書中原文：“我畫的並不是一頂帽子。它表示一隻蟒蛇正在消化一隻象。為了使大人暸解我的意思，我就把蟒蛇的內部也畫出來。大人們經常需要很多的解釋。我的第二號畫就像這樣。”）。下面文字寫著 ”you have great truths within you”，這真的是本很美的書，在我心中佔著很特別的位置。（”This tattoo is from the book ‘the little prince’ It’s a drawing of a boa constrictor that’s eaten an elephant. The writing below says “you have great truths within you” It’s such a beautiful book. And holds a very special place in my heart.“）」
Codie Young：「煤炭球和小樹靈是取自於宮崎駿卡通《神隱少女》和《魔法公主》，我非常喜歡日本動畫的角色和故事。（”A soot spirit and a tree spirit. From princess mononoke and spirited away. I love Japanese anime and the stories and characters.”）」
Codie Young：「（右一）在脖子後的刺青是個很簡單的圓，它有很多意思，像是佛教中的業障、因果循環或是人生。（”The tattoo on the back of my neck is a simple circle. With multiple meanings. Representing karma. What goes around comes around. And The circle of life.”）」
回想當初 2011 年在義大利版 Vogue 網站上受訪時，她身上還只有耳洞，三年後接受《i-D》網站訪問，被問及五年後的她將會如何，她回答：「或許會身上佈滿刺青吧。（數來已有十個）」年僅 21 歲的 Codie Young，藉由旅行來體驗不同的人生（如今到了羅馬尼亞），讓我們祈禱希望有天她會來到台灣吧。
