This design is studying a new type of plate -narrow and long "linear plates". I hope that through different fabrication
methods and computational design, the building can be thinner and more structured. Look forward to discussing its’
possibility through the implementation of a 1: 1 pavilion.
When metal first been an architecture material, they existed in a linear manner. They have been used as a skeleton to
influence the building until today. With the advancement of technology, plate-shaped metal materials can be used in
building, but they are still mostly in the form of blocks, and usually exist in a non-structural covering system. So I started
to think whether combining the current processing technology of metal plate and the linear way that metal first existed in construction could produce a more effective construction method.
