家長會上，每位同學輪番分享著暑假的出遊心得，歡樂的氣氛中，卻有一人獨自坐在位子上，一面自卑著手中的心得分享，一面焦慮等著身旁的空位，恐懼隨著時間不斷放大，而在掌聲響起前，缺席的他，是否趕得上？
While students with their parents were sharing fabulous experiences on stage and earning rounds of applause, there was a boy sitting with loneliness. He stared anxiously at time passing and the vacant seat next to him. Fear grew stronger as the time drew nearer.
With another round of applause, his world finally started to collapse……

設計概念 CONCEPT
這部動畫以孩子的視角來闡述自我認同的主題。
求學階段是孩童定義自我及建立自信的重要時期，這時的他們，大量接觸來自不同家庭背景的同學，有的來自社經地位較高的家庭，有的則來自大眾定義的底層階級，相處的過程中，難免會不自主地產生比較。
因此我們決定以家長會的場景來刻畫，孩子在同儕之中，從渴望被他人認同，到發自內心肯定自我的心理過程。
This animated film sheds light on the theme of self-identity through a child's perspective.
School life is a critical period for children to define themselves and build confidence. They meet plenty of classmates with different family backgrounds—some from higher socioeconomic families, while some from what are generally deemed as low socioeconomic families. Comparison is inevitable when they spend time together.
Therefore, through the setting of a parent-teacher conference, we decided to portray the mental processes of a child with peers from seeking for others' approval to finding self-affirmation.
